Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 1974 tribute to Douglas Sirk's All That Heaven Allows follows a lonely widow and a younger Moroccan immigrant in 1970s West Germany whose love meets the disapproval of family, friends and colleagues. The screening is part of a Cinema Studies seminar taught by Thomas Levin, starting at 6:30 pm (separate registration); screening-only seating begins at 7:00 pm. In German and Arabic with subtitles.
