Morven's landmark exhibition for America's 250th explores the lives of New Jersey's five signers of the Declaration of Independence (Abraham Clark, John Hart, Francis Hopkinson, Richard Stockton and John Witherspoon) before, during and after 1776, through more than 100 artifacts including John Witherspoon's tall case clock and a letter from George Washington to Annis Boudinot Stockton. It also confronts the fact that these men, who risked their lives for liberty, enslaved other people. Open Wednesday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day); included with museum admission.
