In this month's short talk and Q&A, Kit Brooks, the Museum's curator of Asian art, discusses the special exhibition "Takeda Hideo's Genpei: Defying Authority," a series of silkscreen prints that cynically reinterprets Japan's Genpei War (1180–85) in the context of twentieth-century social upheavals. Afterward, visitors can head upstairs to the Allen Adler and Frances Beatty Adler Gallery for an informal conversation with the curator.
