In this hands-on workshop, participants explore repujado, a traditional Mexican metal-embossing technique, experimenting with line, texture, pattern and depth to see how raised and recessed surfaces catch light and shadow. Each participant creates an original embossed metal piece inspired by an object, character, symbol, place or story; no previous experience is needed. Open to Princeton students, faculty, staff and adult members of the public; advance registration is required and limited to 20 participants.
