Centered on the eleven 1984 “Blue Ribbon paintings,” this exhibition examines Jean-Michel Basquiat’s radical engagement with replication and reproductive media and brings together nearly all of his known print projects. It traces his connections with Robert Rauschenberg and pioneering Black printmakers such as Bob Blackburn, presenting Basquiat as a conceptual artist. On view through January 31, 2027 before traveling to the High Museum of Art and the Frist Art Museum; free.
